Volunteering with Us
If you are interested in meaningful volunteering and would like to make a difference to the life of someone who is terminally ill, Hospice Volunteers would love to hear from you. Our next Training Course starts on 26 February 2016.
After initial training of 7 weekly sessions, we ask volunteers to commit approximately 3 hours per week to supporting clients in clients’ homes, in hospitals or palliative care units, or in other settings such as aged care facilities.
Our volunteers form a close-knit community of compassionate carers who find their role enjoyable and enriching. Volunteers have access to an education program and receive ongoing support from Hospice support staff.
If client work is not for you, there are other ways to get involved with Hospice Volunteers such as helping with fundraising and promotional events.
We’re a great organisation to get involved with, so if you’ve been thinking about volunteering for a while please fill out your contact details below or give us a call on 6224 3808.
